Shelli Black is responsible for the legal affairs affecting IHP and its affiliates. This entails providing support, documentation and direction to IHP team members and outside counsel on joint ventures with builders and investor partners, corporate governance, risk management, litigation, finance, employment matters, construction and other real estate and asset management issues. She has been involved with IHP since its inception in 1992, when she was a partner at the law firm, Pinto & Dubia, LLP and thereafter joined IHP in 2004.
In addition to her professional duties, Ms. Black has served her community through leadership in numerous nonprofit organizations, currently Women in Housing Leadership Group, UCLA Alumni Association, Corona del Mar Community Church and Rooney Lake Association.
Prior to Pinto & Dubia, LLP, Ms. Black also worked at Smylie & Selman and Silver & Field where she concentrated on real estate and business transactions and litigation.
Ms. Black graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and was awarded a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
