Dawn-Marie became involved with IHP in 1993 when she joined the law firm of Pinto & Dubia, LLP, the firm that incorporated and organized IHP Capital Partners. In 2004, she joined IHP as part of its newly-formed in-house Legal Department.
Under supervision of IHP legal counsel, Ms. Aleson coordinates and assists with business transactions. She also oversees/manages formation, organization and maintenance of IHP’s numerous entities, as well as licensing, maintenance and reporting for certain of IHP’s investment funds/joint ventures which are licensed finance lenders. Additionally, under the direction of IHP’s Chief Compliance Officer, Ms. Aleson implemented and continues to manage IHP’s SEC compliance program and reporting required of a Registered Investment Adviser.
Ms. Aleson was awarded her Paralegal Certification with honors from the University of California, Irvine. She has served as a volunteer in different roles with the Orange County, California affiliate of Trauma Intervention Programs, Inc., a national organization that provides immediate emotional and practical support to survivors of tragedy.
